Replacing Rear Discs and Pads

Model: Vauxhall Zafira Zafira A, MK 1, T98 - Years 1999-2005

Once the vehicle is lifted and the wheels are removed, unscrew the retaining pins of the brake caliper from its support and remove it from its seat; slide out the old pads, extract the sliding plates, and dismantle the support; then proceed to unscrew the disc retaining bolt from the hub and remove the old disc; clean the disc seat on the hub with a wire brush and apply grease; retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp, also clean the caliper support and apply grease to the pad seat before inserting the new pads; grease the pins as well; clean the new discs of protective oil and install them on the hub, then mount the caliper support, insert the new pads, and then the caliper itself. Pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance.
