How to replace the starter motor of the Peugeot 107

In this video we can see how to replace the starter motor of the Peugeot 107 - which is identical to the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1 for most components), the starter motor is located in a relatively accessible but well-protected position. We need to remove the battery, disconnecting the negative terminal first and only then the positive one. The starter motor is mounted low, near the gearbox, and is fixed to the gearbox bell with two or three bolts. We recognize it because it is a metal cylinder with a solenoid attached to one end: it is connected with a large red cable to the battery and a thinner one that activates the solenoid. We use an extension to unscrew the bolts, and remove the electrical cables (it will be useful to note the position).
