Let's see how to replace the indicator stalk of the Peugeot 307: disconnect the battery, and remove the airbag by inserting a flat screwdriver behind the steering wheel, then push inward to unlock the spring. Disconnect the airbag and horn connectors, lock the steering to prevent it from turning, unscrew the central screw with a Torx 50, and mark the position of the steering wheel relative to the column with a marker. Remove the plastic cover by taking out the screws, disconnect the electrical connectors from the indicator stalk (take a photo first to remember the various positions), then unscrew the securing nut and unlock the tabs. If the new stalk does not have the buttons for steering control, remove them from the old one and refit them onto the new one; slot the component into the column, tighten the nut, reconnect the electrical connectors, refit the plastic covers, then the steering wheel, the central screw, reconnect all connectors, and finally the airbag module and the battery.
