Model: Peugeot 208 A9, MK 1 - Years 2012-2019
Part: Gear Shift Knob
Operation: Replacement of the gear knob of the Peugeot 208

In this video tutorial we will see the steps on how to disassemble and replace the Peugeot 208 gear knob. First we get on board the car and start by disassembling and removing our gear gaiter, releasing it from the sides and pulling it upwards; then we forcefully pull the knob to release it and remove it together with the headset, as illustrated in the video. At this point we separate the knob from the cap, in order to replace it with the new one; insert a clamp between the knob and the cap and fix everything on the gear lever, applying the reverse procedure!

With the ignition on, the fuel cap, or rather the fuel filler flap, is open and therefore accessible. When trying to turn off the aforementioned ignition and then lock the car with the key, it is assumed that the petrol door, as well as the doors of the car, are closed, but this is not the case, in fact the latter in practice always remains open. Ultimately, you can access the fuel tank whether the car is closed or open.
