To replace the gear knob of the Peugeot 208, you need to lever with an object in order to detach the hooks of the leather cover that surrounds the lever: once these hooks have been detached, the cover can be lifted completely. Then you can grab the old gear knob and turn it counterclockwise to release it from the end of the lever: by doing this, you will be able to place the new knob on the lever, screwing it in and securing it. You can then also insert the hooks at the base of the leather cover, securing them as well.
