How to Replace a Punctured Tyre

Anyone can find themselves on the road with a punctured tyre, so it is important to know what to do in such cases.
First, stop as soon as possible in a safe location and pull over as close to the edge of the road as you can. Once you have put on your high-visibility vest and positioned the warning triangle at a safe distance, open the boot, remove any items inside, and it is advisable to place them inside the cabin. Next, remove the boot floor cover.
Inside, as shown in the video, you will find the spare wheel along with a container to remove, the jack, the wheel nut key, the wheel lock key, and other tools needed for the operation. Extract the cover from the double floor and, as shown in the video, unscrew the bolt that holds the spare wheel in place.
At this point, pull the wheel out of the boot and place it next to the one you are replacing. Remove the wheel nut covers using the appropriate tool (these may not be present on all cars).
Now, loosen the wheel nuts. You will notice that one of them has a different shaped head, which serves as a lock. To remove it, use the specific adapter that fits onto the key. Once all are loosened, start lifting the car with the jack.
Now you can completely unscrew the wheel nuts, remove the wheel, placing it on the ground with the outer side facing up, and position the spare wheel. Hand-tighten the nuts and give them a first tighten with the key. Lower the jack and finish tightening the nuts using your foot. Finally, place the punctured wheel, the tools used, and the warning triangle back in the boot.
