Peugeot 207 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 207 MK 1 - Years 2006-2015
Part: Tires
Operation: How to replace a flat tire.

Anyone can find themselves on the road with a flat tire, which is why it is important to know what to do in these situations. First of all, it is important to stop as soon as possible in safety and pull over as far as possible to the edge of the road. Once you have put on your reflective jacket and positioned the triangle at the appropriate distance, open the trunk, remove any items that may be inside, it is advisable to put them inside the car, and remove the underfloor protection. Inside, as shown in the video, you will find the spare tire with a container to be removed, the jack, the key for the bolts, the wheel lock and other tools that we need for the operation. We remove the cover of the double bottom and as shown in the video we unscrew the bolt that holds the spare tire in place. At this point, we take out the tire from the trunk and place it next to the one to be replaced and remove the bolt covers with the appropriate pliers (not present in all cars). We now proceed to loosen the bolts, as we can see one of these has a different shaped head that serves as an anti-theft device, to remove it we use the appropriate adapter to be applied to the key, once all the bolts are loosened we begin to lift the car with the jack. Now we can completely unscrew the bolts, remove the tire and place it on the ground with the outer part facing upwards, and place the spare tire, screw the bolts by hand and give a first tightening with the key. Lower the jack and finish tightening the bolts using your foot, put the flat tire, the tools used and the triangle back in the trunk.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
