Replacing Car Shock Absorbers

If your car has covered more than approximately 62,000 miles, you should consider replacing the shock absorbers. Shock absorbers serve to cushion the vehicle's bumps and enhance safety while cornering. This guide shows how to replace them without visiting your trusted mechanic. Once you have purchased the new shock absorbers, obtain a compressor with a pneumatic gun, a jack, and a spring compressor tool. Lift the left side of the car with the jack and then remove the wheel, ensuring you take off all four bolts holding it in place. At this point, open the bonnet by operating the appropriate lever and remove all four screws located above the shock absorber, which will then come off almost by itself.
