How to Open and Close the Bonnet of the Peugeot 207

When you need to open the bonnet for some checks, take care to observe a few precautions: first, position the car on a flat surface, pull the handbrake, turn off the engine, and locate the release lever situated at the bottom left of the driver's side on the door pillar; once the catch is released, look under the edge of the bonnet for the release lever and press it sideways to unlock and lift the bonnet; then apply the support rod and perform your checks; after completing this procedure, disengage the support bracket, lower the bonnet to about 15 cm from the front crossmember, and let it drop to allow it to close.
