The engine of the Piaggio Zip can be disassembled by loosening the screws that fix it to its housing in the center of the frame: once the fixing screws have been loosened, it will be possible to proceed by removing the intake and exhaust manifolds, also disconnecting the appropriate connectors. At this point, it will be possible to remove the screws that fix the cylinder and the cylinder head in order to access the underlying piston: the latter must be freed from its connecting rod in order to access the crankshaft and all internal components. After replacing the necessary parts, the engine can be reassembled, checking its operation.
