What is the roll lock on the Piaggio MP3 scooter? It is a mechanical locking system for the front suspension, preventing the scooter from leaning sideways when stationary or at very low speeds, avoiding it tipping over like a normal two-wheeled motorcycle. When slowing down, an icon appears on the instrument panel, and pressing a button activates the roll lock. Upon activation, you will hear an audible signal and the icon will remain lit. This allows you to stop completely without putting your feet down, as if you were on a tripod. To deactivate it, simply apply gentle throttle and the system will unlock as soon as you start moving.
