Below are the step-by-step instructions for performing routine maintenance by changing the engine oil and oil filter on the Piaggio X9 250 scooter. First, place the scooter on its centre stand and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then unscrew the screws of the oil filter cover, removing and replacing the cartridge with the new one, as shown in the video.

At this point, unscrew the fill screw and top up the oil, checking the level with the dipstick!
