How to Change the Engine Oil on a Ducati Monster 900?

To change the engine oil on a Ducati Monster 900, start by warming the engine slightly to ensure the oil is fluid. Ensure the bike is on a flat and stable surface and lift the front of the bike using a centre stand or suitable support. Locate the oil drain plug on the oil sump, usually positioned on the underside of the engine. Place an oil collection container under the drain plug. Unscrew the drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely into the collection container. Once the draining is complete, remove and replace the oil filter. Make sure to lubricate the sealing ring of the new filter with engine oil before installing it. Refit the drain plug using a torque wrench to the torque specified in the owner's manual. Now, fill the engine with new engine oil, using the recommended oil for the Ducati Monster 900 and check the level with the dipstick. Ensure not to exceed the maximum oil level, and you will have completed the replacement.
