Reinstall the rear wheel on a Piaggio scooter. First, place the scooter on a stand that allows you to work safely and comfortably.

Then, take the wheel and insert it onto the threaded axle protruding from the engine block, ensuring it is seated correctly and place the washer onto the axle. Tighten the nut first by hand, and then using a robust socket spanner, tighten it securely.

Now insert the locking pin and secure it with a split pin, spreading the tabs with a screwdriver and bending them around the axle using pliers. Finally, replace the plastic cover on the axle.
