In this video, we see how to remove the inner shield of the Piaggio MP3. We start by removing the footrest bracket located on the floorboard, then the rear screw of the floorboard itself. We use levers to remove the cover. Now we move to the handlebars and remove the screws that hold the shield in the upper part. We also lever in the area of the key to remove its frame: just below there is a central screw that holds the front shield, which will allow us to remove it easily. Now we can unscrew the screws inside, which once removed give us the possibility to remove the inner shield: but be careful: there is a big screw attached to the frame. If we don't remove this, the shield won't come off.

In order to replace the instrument panel of the BMW R 1200 GS you have to unscrew the screws that secure the windshield, removing it completely; at this point, the three seeger rings that secure the instrument panel to the frame must be removed. At this point it will be possible to remove the instrument panel from inside its housing by disconnecting the connector at the rear. At this point it will be possible to unscrew the screws that secure the rear part of the instrumentation, removing the old dials and the display. In this way it will be possible to insert the new ones, reinstalling all the instruments.
