ABS Fault Interpretation Instructions

Model: RAM 2500 MK 2, BE, BR - Years 1994-2001
Part: Checks and maintenance

If the ABS warning light (yellow circle with two side semicircles) and the BRAKE message flash when you turn on the ignition, there is certainly something wrong with the braking system; the flashing pattern of the light provides indications about the type of fault (when it is not possible to perform a diagnosis via OBD, this method can also be used): a long initial flash is followed by nine shorter flashes; consulting the manual reveals that this pattern refers to a fault related to the speed sensor; apparently, this is also a fairly common fault in this type of vehicle.

Remove a Rear Light from a Volkswagen Touran

Remove a rear light from a Volkswagen Touran to replace the damaged bulbs. Open the boot lid, and using a lever, remove the plastic cover of the rear light. Unscrew the securing bolts located at the side of the rear light with a screwdriver (using a socket spanner or screwdriver with a bit). Once the light is free from any constraints, detach it from the bodywork (disconnect the relevant power connectors). Replace the damaged bulbs with identical ones in size and voltage. Finally, reassemble the light and reverse the assembly of the other parts.
