For this simple and quick task, start your vehicle and activate the wipers, then turn off the vehicle and stop the wipers when they are at the top of their rotation on the windscreen. You may place cardboard under the blades to avoid damaging them during the dry wipe. To remove the blades, apply pressure to the centre of the wipers to release the clips that hold them in place, then fully extract the blades. Finally, refit the new blades by reversing the steps.

Over time, frequent use of the key's flip mechanism in the vehicle, dozens of times a day, inevitably leads to wear of the internal spring. As shown in this video, replacing the spring is quite simple and takes little time.
