You can replace the handbrake button on a Renault Laguna by using a tool like a screwdriver to pry off the trim panel around the button: once this panel is removed, you can locate the screws underneath that secure the button mechanism to its housing.

This can then be fully extracted to disconnect its connector at the back: at this point, you can connect the new button to the connector, insert it into its housing, and secure it with the appropriate screws.
