How to Solve the Stagnant Water Problem in the Footwell of the Renault Twingo 2
Model: Renault Twingo
- Years 2007-2014
Video tutorial
Detailed instructions - The video shows how to resolve a stagnant water issue in the footwell of a 2011 Renault Twingo 2 with 130,000 miles. The mechanic explains that the entire cabin was wet, with signs of mould and a bad smell. The cause is the water box (the area under the windscreen where rainwater collects) that fills up because the drain is blocked. On the Twingo 2, the water box is very small and is located only on the right side; the rest of the area does not collect water. To access it, remove the rubber seal (it slides off), unscrew the three Torx screws of 20, and lift the plastic. Underneath is the water box, with the drain tube going downwards. When this tube is blocked with leaves and debris, the water does not drain, fills the water box, and ends up in the cabin through the seals of the bulkheads. The YouTuber removes the tube, cleans it with water, and checks that it is clear. It is advised to check and clean the drains at every service, as this is often overlooked. After cleaning, reassemble everything: three screws, seal, and plastic. The problem is resolved.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to Adjust the Handbrake on a BMW 1 Series?
To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 1 Series, use a tool to pry off the leather cover that wraps around the base of the handbrake lever. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension. At this point, adjust the nut located at the base of the spring: tightening the nut will make the handbrake firmer and reduce the lever's travel. Conversely, loosening the nut will decrease the handbrake's firmness and increase the lever's travel. by ScegliAuto More videos
