Video tutorial

Maintaining external rear-view mirrors is a common task in the automotive world. In this case, it is a Renault Kadjar, but in principle, the same method can be applied to all modern vehicles.

Start by removing the mirror glass to access the internal mechanism, using hooks to unlock the plastic pins holding the glass. Now you can see the internal structure with the moving parts and electric motors.

The central part is the lubrication of the moving parts that cause squeaks or jamming. The video uses a specific grease HSW100, which can be found on Amazon with the code B0DSKBB87P at the price of £12.99, with free delivery for Prime customers, with which you proceed to lubricate the visible mechanisms (but also those inside the adjustment motor) then reinsert the mirror glass and you are done.
