Replacing the Gear Knob on a Renault Car

Remove the gaiter from the base by simply pulling it off: if you cannot remove it by hand, use a plastic wedge or a small flat screwdriver. Lift it as much as you can and break the underlying clip with a pair of side cutters. Now you can lower the gaiter and remove the gear knob: to do this, simply pull it off while shaking it vigorously. Next, proceed to fit the new knob, working in reverse and ensuring that the knob you purchased has the same internal fitting as the original. It's that simple! Secure a new clip under the gaiter and you're done.
