How to Obtain the Precode for the Radio in a Renault?

The precode for the radio is the prefix needed to access the actual reprogramming code. There are two ways to obtain the precode; the more invasive method involves physically removing the radio and looking at the label on the back, while the less invasive method is shown in the attached video, valid for many older Renault models. Simply press and hold the buttons 1 and 5 (1 and 6 on some models) with the radio switched on, and the precode, which consists of a letter and three digits, will be displayed.
