How to Replace the Gear Knob on a Renault Clio?

If you want to change the gear knob on your Renault because it is worn, first remove the small plastic insert where the gear numbers are engraved. You can use a small flathead screwdriver to help. Then, remove the plastic part where the wrist rests; you can either cut it or simply pull it off from the bottom upwards, without damaging the leather or faux leather gaiter that covers the hydraulic system of the gear knob. You can also replace the plastic adapter where the new knob fits, if included in the new knob's packaging. Once everything is removed, give it a clean and reposition the new knob by inserting it into the housing.
