These scuff plates are very easy to install, thanks to the magnetic strip on the back, and require no electrical installation or battery changes when they run out, as they are rechargeable via micro USB. They have an intelligent light sensor that activates the illumination automatically when the door is opened, but to save energy, they do not activate in direct sunlight. They feature seven fixed colours that alternate plus a fade mode. You can find them on AliExpress item/1005001992948342 and they are a great alternative to the illuminated scuff plates offered by Renault: these start from £25.80 for two pieces plus shipping costs.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
