Rear Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Renault Modus MK 1 - Years 2004-2013
Part: Shocks

Replacing the rear shock absorbers is much simpler than the front ones since the spring and damper are not co-axial, so you do not need to use clamps to separate them. Start by accessing the boot, removing the cover panel applied to the side plastic trim to reach the upper mount of the shock absorber for disassembly. Next, move to the lower fixing bolt, which can be accessed by shifting the plastic cover. Apply a support jack during the disassembly of this bolt and attach the rubber mount to the new one, then proceed with installation in reverse order.
