Removing the Front Shock Absorber from a Renault Modus

To remove the front shock absorber from a Renault Modus, first lift the bonnet and secure it. Use a socket wrench to undo the securing bolts of the shock absorber, then lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Undo the securing bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub with a socket wrench (disconnect the brake circuit pipes and the splash guard with a screwdriver). Undo the bolts on the side and remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Install the new shock absorber on the vehicle by reversing the steps.
