First, go inside the cabin, then using a plastic spatula to avoid leaving any marks, unclip the base of the gaiter. Next, lift the gaiter itself, cut the internal tie and separate the knob from the shaft by turning it forcefully anti-clockwise. At this point, simply position the new parts, secure the knob to the gaiter with a new tie, and follow the reverse procedure.
