How to Remove Snow Socks

Model: Saab 9 3x - Years 2002-2012
Part: Snow chains

To tackle snow, there are alternatives to classic chains, particularly useful if your alloy wheels cannot accommodate chains. One example is snow socks, which adhere to the tyre without interfering with cables or other parts that could be damaged due to their thin layer.
Let's see how to install the socks. In the video, long nylon gloves are worn to facilitate installation without wetting your jacket. It is important to remember that if you only have one pair of socks, you must fit them on the driven axle wheels; for the Saab 9-3, this is the front axle.
Cover the top of the tyre with the sock, then continue covering the entire tread and wheel until the fabric touches the ground. At this point, get in the car and move forward by one metre, so that the uncovered part of the tyre remains facing upwards.
Now, finish covering the wheel with the sock and repeat the same operation for the opposite wheel.

How to Remove the CV Boot on Fiat Panda

Let’s see how to remove the boot from the joint on a Fiat Panda. After positioning your car on a column lift: raise it to a comfortable height to work on, loosen the wheel nuts (using a socket wrench or air drill) and remove the wheel. Begin unscrewing the brake disc bolts with a socket wrench. Remove the bolts located under the disc and completely detach the wheel hub. Pull the arm around the joint with your hands. Fit the new boot (after removing the old one) onto the constant velocity joint, then start reassembling all the parts in reverse order.
