To replace the water pump gasket on the Sherco ST 290, loosen the screws securing the water pump cover, located immediately to the right of the clutch cover. Once the cover is removed, you can take out the underlying water pump and locate the gasket. You can now pry off the old gasket with a tool and replace it with a new one. After replacing the gasket, refit the water pump and cover it with the corresponding cover.
