To replace the battery in the third-generation Skoda Fabia, open the bonnet and locate the battery in the engine compartment, usually positioned sideways and protected by a plastic cover that needs to be removed to access the terminals. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal and then the positive terminal.

Once the cables are disconnected, unscrew the bracket or support that secures the battery to the base. At this point, carefully remove the battery, considering its weight.

Place the new battery in the same housing, then secure it again with the support. Reconnect the terminals starting with the positive terminal and then the negative, ensuring they are tightly secured.

Refit the protective cover, close the bonnet, and start the vehicle to check that all electrical systems are functioning correctly.
