What to Do if the Power Steering Fuse Burns Out on the Skoda Roomster

On this Skoda Roomster, the fuse for the power steering pump burns out; be cautious about rushing to change the pump, as it may not be the cause. This fuse also powers the engine oil separator, located at the rear of the engine block, under the intake manifold; therefore, you need to work from underneath. Remove the three bolts holding it in place, along with a connector and a pipe. You can find this part, for example, on tarostrade.it for €20.01 plus €6.49 for delivery, which is a price incomparable to that of the power steering pump. The test the YouTuber performed to check if this was indeed the issue was to disconnect the wire on the oil separator and try to start the car while steering. If the fuse does not blow again, then it is the culprit, and you can proceed with the replacement.
