Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Timing belt

To replace the timing belt of the Smart Fortwo model 450, we need to access the bottom part of the engine hood, located at the back of the vehicle. Once opened, you will be able to locate the pulley and loosen the central nut, in order to remove the belt by releasing the tension. We remove the worn timing belt and insert the new one, being careful, at this point we tighten the pulley nut to put the belt back in tension. Once finished, we need to start the vehicle's engine to make sure the replacement has been done correctly.
