In this video, you can see how to reset the service light on a 2002 Smart Fortwo: activate the ignition, and the spanner light will illuminate. Press the button located to the left of the dial twice, then continue to hold it while turning off the ignition.

Next, turn the ignition back on and keep the button pressed for another five to ten seconds. At this point, two spanners and the mileage until the next service interval will appear.

You can then turn off the dial, and the service will be reset.
