A simple and economical solution to prevent the Smart cabrio's convertible top from opening while driving
Model: Smart Smart

- Years 2007-2015
It happens that with our convertible Smart car, the openable roof tends to not close properly over time, causing the partial opening of the hood while driving. This is very unpleasant, especially in winter. Completely replacing it is a very costly job, even though it would be the definitive solution. What the youtuber suggests in this video is a very economical and easy compromise to implement. We need to get one or two clamps called "knee clamps" that close with a lever, and we can find them for example on Amazon with the code B08LTH6CHZ at a price of 15.99 euros per pair, with free delivery for Prime customers. The installation requires some drilling, so we need to decide if it's better to use one or both; and then we won't have any more problems.

How to Replace the Gear Shift Gaiter of the Honda CR-V
You can purchase an aftermarket gear shift cover complete with a knob, made of leather with coloured stitching. The disassembly is quite straightforward: start by unscrewing the gear shift knob by twisting it. Next, detach the trim at the base of the gear lever by prying along the edges. Then, remove the chrome trim that holds the gaiter in place, peeling off the leather edges from the plastic support. Apply new double-sided adhesive to the plastic tabs to insert and stick the edges of the new gaiter, securing it with the chrome trim. Finally, fit the gaiter complete with the knob onto the gear lever, securing it with the appropriate screws and reattaching the trim to the tunnel support. by ScegliAuto More videos
