Smart Key Battery Replacement

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Use a small flat screwdriver to pry open the seam of the key housing, on the opposite side of the key itself. This will gradually release the clips, allowing the housing to split into two parts. Once done, you can remove the electronic chip inside the housing, and by turning it over, you will find the tiny battery. Remove it using the flat screwdriver and simply insert the new one. Reassemble everything in reverse order. The battery is inexpensive and is a CR2016, which you can find online or at a hardware store.
