Replacing the Number Plate Light on a Smart Car

Replacing the bulb that illuminates the number plate on a Smart car is a very simple task, and we will demonstrate it now. First, extract the housing from its slot by levering in the gap to your left and pushing towards the right, as shown in the video. If you struggle to do this by hand, use a small flat screwdriver or a plastic wedge for assistance. Once the housing is removed, disconnect the two wires. At this point, simply extract the old bulb, insert the new one, and reverse the process. You might take the opportunity to clean the bulb holder with a suitable spray.
