Below are the instructions for removing and replacing the number plate lights on the Smart Fortwo. First, move to the rear and start by removing the number plate light cover, prying at the sides with a small flat screwdriver to detach it. Then, disconnect the electrical connector found at the back, as shown in the video.

At this point, replace the old bulb inside the cover with the new one; then reassemble the light cover and reconnect it, following the reverse procedure!
