Removing the Steering Wheel and Airbag on a Smart Car

At the rear of the steering wheel, there is a hole where you can access and undo the internal screw, as shown in the video. Use a wedge or flat screwdriver to pry in the gap at the back of the steering wheel, removing the lower part. Now disconnect the connectors and pull out the steering wheel. Undo the two screws behind it to remove the cover and access the bolts securing the airbag. Proceed in reverse for reassembly. As you can see, this is a very simple operation, although it may take some time.
