Removing the Airbag from a Smart Steering Wheel

In this video tutorial, you will see how to remove the steering wheel airbag from a Smart. The video shows this directly with the steering wheel removed from the vehicle. First, unscrew the screw located under the steering wheel with a screwdriver. Next, remove the rear cover behind the steering wheel and unscrew the side screws with a 30mm Torx key; this way, you can remove the front part of the steering wheel and then the airbag! Now, reassemble everything: check the condition of the airbag as it may need replacing if it is damaged.
