Replacing the alternator belt on Smart cars

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Alternator

To get to the alternator on Smart 450 you have to remove the right rear wheel. So loosen the bolts, lift the vehicle and remove the bolts first and then the wheel. Remove the two clips that secure the plastic protection and disassemble it as shown in the video. Loosen the two alternator top and front screws and, when the alternator belt is no longer under tension, remove it. The video shows how to also replace the air conditioning compressor belt as the procedure is similar. Similarly, proceed in reverse for assembly. Good job!

How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on a Peugeot 406

How to remove the front shock absorber on a Peugeot 406? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts (engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (detach the brake line clips with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber to the car, working in reverse order.
