To reset the Service light on a Smart 453, turn on the instrument panel and navigate to the menu until you reach the option "Maintenance overdue from." At this point, press and hold the OK button until the previous message starts to flash. When the message stops flashing, "Maintenance in 20,000 km" will appear, and you can then release the OK button. At this point, the reset of the light will have been completed correctly. To verify, you will need to turn off and then turn on the instrument panel, confirming that the Service light is off.
