How to Replace the Battery in a Smart 451

To replace the battery in a Smart 451, remove the plastic cover located directly under the glove compartment on the passenger side. To remove it, pull out the fastening rivets located at the four corners. Once the cover is removed, the battery will be visible and can be extracted after loosening its fixing bolts and disconnecting the terminals. The new battery can then be placed in its housing, connected to the terminals, and secured with the appropriate bolts. After installation, reposition the plastic cover under the glove compartment.
