How to remove the dashboard of the Smart?

To remove the dashboard of the Smart, start by disconnecting the connectors located under the steering column and loosening the screws of the lower cover of the column. Next, lift the central controls by prying and loosen the screws underneath.

The next components to remove will be the radio and the glove compartment below. Finally, pull out the air vent located on the right side of the dashboard and loosen the screw underneath.

This will allow you to remove the upper cover of the dashboard from inside the cabin.
