Replacement of the seat lift handle of the Smart Forfour

Model: Smart Forfour W454, MK 1 - Years 2004-2006
Part: Handle

In today's video we will see how to remove the seat lift handle on the first generation Smart Forfour, following these simple steps. In this case we will perform the operation with the seat removed; first we go to remove the round plastic cover of the seat lift handle, prying the sides with something thin. At this point we are going to unscrew the central nut of the handle, using a ratchet wrench, as shown in the video; now we can remove and replace the seat lift handle with the new one, applying the reverse disassembly procedure!
