To replace the window regulator mechanism on a Smart 450, loosen the screws securing the outer door panel; these are located on the upper inner part of the door. Once the outer panel is removed, unscrew the bolts that secure the glass, completely removing it. After the glass is removed, unscrew the bolts securing the mechanism itself and disconnect the connectors attached to it. Once everything is removed, replace it with a new spare part.
