Let's see how to dismantle the headlight and wiper control on a Smart 450. Start by removing the four screws under the steering column. Then, take off the dashboard, simply turning it over without moving it too much. You will see the headlight control block, which has a tab that, when lifted, releases the entire block: motor and lever. Now disconnect the electrical connector to remove it. To reassemble, just reverse the sequence, ensuring the slide is placed back in its housing. For the wiper control, repeat the same process on the right side of the dashboard, as it is constructed in the same way.
