In this tutorial we can see how to replace the rear brake shoes in the Smart ForTwo, an operation that requires a good base of manual skills. First of all, lift the rear of the car and remove the wheel, then unscrew the brake cover fixing screws and remove it. We then release the two jaws, remove the two side pins and release both the lower and upper springs. At this point we can transfer all the control elements into the spare jaws, if in good condition, place them inside the drum and follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.

How to Remove the Bonnet on a Smart Fortwo

To open the front bumper of the Smart Fortwo for bulb maintenance, follow these steps: open the plastic levers located at the sides of the front grille with your hands.
