To replace the speakers in a Smart 453, loosen the screws and remove all the rivets securing the internal door protection panels. Once these two panels are removed, you will be able to access the underlying components.

The speakers can be taken out of their housing by loosening the screws that secure them and disconnecting their connectors. This way, you can insert the new replacement parts, secure them in their housing, and connect them properly to the connectors.
