Replacing Smart 700 Spark Plugs

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Spark plugs

The 700 petrol engine in this car model is equipped with a three-cylinder turbocharged engine and has two spark plugs per cylinder, making a total of six spark plugs. The first three spark plugs can be easily replaced by accessing the engine bay from the boot and removing the protective cover: the three spark plugs are located close to the intake manifold ducts, and it may be advisable to use the appropriate tool to extract the leads. The other three spark plugs are accessed through the gap between the bonnet closure and the rear bumper. To perform this task, the bumper itself, which also integrates the wings, must be removed.
