How to Change the Oil in a Smart

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

First, locate the oil reservoir, which is under the panel of the small boot on the right. Next, remove the cap from the sump located under the engine to drain the used oil. Make sure to have a container ready to avoid spilling oil on the ground. Once all the used oil is removed, it is advisable to replace the old filter with a new one, which is also located at the bottom of the engine. Now, all that's left is to add the recommended amount of oil.

How do you remove the engine air filter on an Opel Astra Station Wagon? Follow this guide for the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Use a screwdriver to remove the retaining bolt of the air intake hose clamp and the retaining bolts of the container box where the filter is located. Remove the dirty air filter and position a new one, ensuring it fits snugly against the walls of the box. Finally, refit the air box cover and tighten the screws.
