How to open the trunk of a Smart car

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: Body

In this video, we can see how to open the trunk of a Smart '09 that was stuck, and also the doors would not close: at first it seemed that the problem was caused by the SAM control unit or fuses, but that was not the issue. It was not even the door actuator. Only by disconnecting the negative pole of the battery did the doors start working again; but not the rear hatch. Since the lower part cannot be opened without opening the upper glass, they had to drill a hole in the plastic to release the glass and access the lower part where they found switches that they tested and realized that the glass switch is working, while the hatch switch is not and therefore needs to be replaced: it can be found, for example, on Amazon with the code B0CLZ816LW at a price of 44.13 euros, with free delivery.
